Hey all. I just wanted to share some of the weird foods I used to eat when I was younger. I used to eat mustard toast, I used to eat plain mayo on a piece of bread, one time I mistaked the salt shaker with the sugar and put salt into my oatmeal once, then one time I woke up one morning an I was really hungry and so I got the cherrios and got the milk thinking it was 2% milk and I made the bowl of cereal and my brother came in and told me that I had but buttermilk into my cherrios. I was so embarrassed.

Sounds good I've heard of brown sauce on a prosciutto and kiwi fruit sandwich.

I thought I'd bring this one back up, digging through the boards. I've done Peanut butter and bacon sandwitches, can be with jelly, but I think they're better without the jelly.

Mmmm that sounds a mite bit Tangy Sandra87, ... Tangy Lemon/ Delish the lemon freshed squeezed into melted Buttter...though I would prefer Vegetable Spread, called by me, "Veggie Spread" with lemon peel zest tossed in for good measure...

Sometimes to popcorn that I have Air Popped I then add a lite amount of melted veggie spread

it is .....*LOTS less calories than BUTTER/Margarine though same texture and so forth*

AND THEN shake on Italian Seasonings OR hmmm ...

Take Air Popped Popped Corn and place dribbling of HOT Maple Syrup over the popped corn...makes for a sweet taste... Some may then choose to add shaker's worth of salt *I choose not to..just the HOT Maple Syrup **Kinda like a Home-Made carmel corn only not so high in calories...

Just thot though I have not done so, a handful of raisins then added in might be just the treat...**thinking, may just try this...

***Thinking that perhaps The Board Orginator would consider adding some mini-peanut- butter-recesses-pieces to the mixture... kinda like a hiker's Trail Mix I suppose. NOW come to think of it...this is no longer considered "weird"...oh well...go figure ~~~ *To each their own taste buds I am a suppossin'

When I was ill as a child once, my grandmother who was a nurse in the second world war and believed in all these weird remedies, gave me milk and lemonade, that's right together, to drink. Apparently it's supposed to break down the stomach acidity and stop you feeling so sick. only trouble was, it curdled like hell and went all scummy and frothy. never again!

..that, "tortilla with cottage cheese and banana," sounds so delish only please leave off the ba-ba-nanner and add any/all of following: pepper, onions and Italian Seasonings... Mmmmmmmmmmmmm

Post 17 by Grace (I've now got the ggold prolific poster award! wahoo! well done to me!) on Monday, 23-Oct-2006 2:04:48
